The ADA is the professional association of dentists committed to the public's oral health, ethics, science and professional advancement; leading a unified profession through initiatives in advocacy, education, research and the development of standards. The American Dental Association: The oral health authority committed to the public and the profession. We also partner with the Academy of General Dentistry. The mission of the AGD is to serve the needs and represent the interests of general dentists, to promote the oral health of the public, and to foster continued proficiency of general dentists through quality continuing dental education in order to better serve the public. The AGD’s Core Purpose is to advance the value and excellence of general dentistry. We also partner with the Ohio Dental Association. Since 1866, the ODA has been serving approximately 80 percent of Ohio's practicing dentists and is a constituent society of the American Dental Association. The mission of the ODA is to improve oral health and strengthen dentistry in Ohio by providing resources to advance the dental profession; improving dental team skills; and increasing public and professional oral health knowledge. We also partner with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. The AACD is dedicated to advancing excellence in the art and science of cosmetic dentistry and encouraging the highest standards of ethical conduct and responsible patient care. The AACD continues to grow and now includes over 8000 practitioners, educators, researchers and laboratory technicians from 70 countries worldwide.
